how it works.
Once accepted you receive an analysed scene with clear ‘units’ (emotional shifts) that guide our time together.
we expect that you to do the prep.
For our Acting for screen sessions we expect you to be off book.
prep and learn to be as present in the space so you are open to the other actors, and your instincts can run the show.
TO ENSURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO PREP, WE advise that YOU TO BOOK at least 72 hours in ADVANCE.
part 1 - COLLECTIVE
throw off London. We cold read the scene.
We work Through EACH unit all actors are COLLECTIVELY involved here.
We work through the scene unit by unit. Each pair work through one unit before we move on to the next one with a new pair.
We don’t move on until we’re confident.
Once we have worked the scene we repeat the process the actors take on a different unit from the first pass.
The focus of part 1 is on interrogating the emotional dynamics that make up the scene.
This detailed work allows us to gain conviction through investigation gaining clarity and precision.
Once we’ve worked through the scene twice in this compartmentalised way we now run it in totality.
part 2 - SCENE
building on your strong intentions, instincts and analysis found in part 1 We run through the scene.
SIMPLE.
being present gets thrown around in all sorts of spaces, but we believe there might be a good and valid reason for that.
These two parts are A time focussed on sharpening the instincts that make you a skilled artist.
This way of working generates freedom as you take ownership and gain authority over the scenes dynamics.
What sets you apart? what ensures you are ready when the time comes? staying sharp and consistently working.
