A man with short hair and a beard, wearing a blue and gray striped sweater, is sitting on the floor with one knee up and the other knee down, resting his elbow on his knee and touching his chin with his finger, appearing to be in deep thought or concentration. There are sheets of paper, a pen, a black notebook, a white reusable water bottle, and other items around him, in a room with large windows showing trees outside.

how it works.

Preparing rigorously for the sessions is the MINIMUM we expect from the actors who regularly use our studio.

For our Acting sessions we advise you to be off book.

We always have an assistant in the session who is on book to support the work. if you drop the lines it does not matter.

prep so you can be present in the space. so you are open to the other actors, your instincts, and you can get the most out of your time in the studio.

Book the session a week in advance, the sides are sent to you at least 5 days prior to each session to GUARANTEE you HAVE ENOUGH time to fully prepare.

part 1 - COLLECTIVE

throw off London. A few hots A few nots! Haha!

We cold read the scene. Analysing & questioning.

Then we are on our feet for the remainder of the session

Guy will start with a physical rythm exercise to get us linked up.

Then we worked collectively through sections of the scene.

Guy really values repetition, rhythm, proximity to get the relationships firing.

The focus of part 1 is on interrogating dynamics & collectively finding getting the INSTINCTS flying.

This detailed work allows us to gain conviction, clarity and Specifics tht are personal to each actor. .

part 2 - SCENE

building on your strong intentions, instincts and analysis found in part 1 each pair now plays the scene.

SIMPLE...

You will be cast opposite someone you may or may not have worked with previously.

Guy will throw in a fair bit of spice at this point…

This is about actor and director working together now to really take charge of the scene.

The pairs take on the scene one after the other.
