"As I've mainly worked on screen, I felt it was important to throw myself back into an ensemble environment akin to the theatre rehearsal room. This workshop is ALIVE; dissecting, collaborating, fostering and unearthing performances that are only possible in this type of space. A real gem for the working actor that wants to keep the tools sharp or break new ground."
Credits include: THE PUZZLE LADY, I'M YOURS (STORYLAND), RICHES, BAD SISTERS, LINE OF DUTY, DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS, LAKELANDS, JOYRIDE, SILENT WITNESS.

No noise is an amazing place where I can keep my acting muscle working. Guy creates such a safe and playful room to explore with other actors who are at the top of their game. The depth of the material and depth of the work that guy makes you delve into is exactly what I need. It doesn’t feel like a drop in class or a workshop, it feels like a fully realised rehearsal room which is exactly what you want.
Credits include: ‘Interview with a Vampire’, ‘my policeman’, ‘Candida’ at the Orange Tree, ‘poltergeist’ at Southwark playhouse which was a New York Times critic’s pick.

No Noise is an absolute gem. Addie and Guy have cultivated a super focused room that allows for discovery and playfulness when working on scenes from contemporary material. No Noise is exciting, fun, disciplined and supportive. 10/10 would recommend to actors looking for a workshop. Plus both Ade and Guy can verify that I can do a kick flip on a skateboard and land it.
Credits include: SUPACELL, THREE LITTLE BIRDS, HOUSE OF LIFE, NEL'S PLACE, BATSU!, ROOM 7, STICKMAN UK TOUR.

ADEYINKA AKINRINADE REP'd by Curtis brown
There’s a conscious bias here as I work with Guy daily in my role as Producer but I’m also the type of actor the studio is aimed at so I thought I should make some noise too…. Actor hat on. On an acting level, there’s a language that Guy uses when we are working together that relaxes me, he champions my instincts and I forget my prep in a way… We ‘nailed’ the scene and he was like ‘Let’s go again and find more.’ I was terrified because sometimes we feel we won’t get back there… But there’s a trust he prioritises which generates a big trust in me, we went again and we ‘nailed’ it even more. Haha. I’ve been taking risks I perhaps wouldn't have before because we are given the time to go for them, I feel safe to take the risk…
CREDITS INCLUDE: GRANTCHESTER, TOP BOY, TEMPLE, A DISCOVERY OF WITCHES, EVERYTHING I KNOW ABOUT LOVE, 'RICHES' AS ALESHA Richards ‘CHAMPION' AS CHANTELLE. ‘TARTUFFE, THE IMPOSTER’, National Theatre, ‘pilgrims’ ORANGE TREE THEATRE, THEATRE 503 & PAINES PLOUGH ROUNDABOUT.

"The CULTURE OF NONOISE IS SLICK: THE SPACE, ThE cHoICe oF MATERIAl, THE COMMITMENT, THE STRUCTURE... HAVING THE CHANCE TO WORK ON GREAT MATERIAL WAS ENOUGH TO GET ME THERE LAST WEEK, BUT I'LL KEEP RETURNING TO WORK WITH GUY.BRIMMING WITH ZEST AND A MASTERFUL UNDERSTANDING OF STORYTELLING. HIS INSIGHTS AND THAT FEELING HE CREATED IN ALL OF US. IT WAS FERVENT. I'M READY FOR MORE."

I just loved the way this was run. Not only is it an incredibly safe space for actors it is also clearly evident that Guy is a wonderful director. I saw huge improvement from all the actors, with their final performances leaps and bounds from where they began three hours before. On top of this the environment fostered in the room is safe, constructive and above all - genuinely kind. Guy champions actors' individuality and allows them to find the best in themselves and subsequently their performances.

It was such a joy to get to watch the actors work at No Noise Studio. The environment that Guy and Adeyinka have created feels so safe and comfortable which allows the actors to be their most vulnerable selves and produce incredible work.
Guy was able to give each actor such valuable direction without ever taking away from their performance or confidence. It is clear to see how collaborative and talented he is as a director.
The warmth and support from everyone in the room was so refreshing to witness and it genuinely felt like every single person came away from the session with a smile on their face and an added confidence in their ability.

As actors, so much of our time is spent auditioning and waiting. Being in this room will allow you to essentially rehearse a new project every week- with people who only want to see you soar.
Credits include: THIS TOWN, Karen Pririe, Macbeth (RSC), Constellations (Marianne Understudy - Donmar), TOTAL IMMEDIATE COLLECTIVE IMMINENT TERRESTRIAL SALVATION (National Theatre of Scotland/Royal Court)

I’d recommend No Noise to any actor...The writing they’ve chosen requires detailed, nuanced work that pushes you to find a greater connection with yourself as an actor and with your scene partner. Guy has a wonderful clarity to his direction, and the process always feels collaborative. We work on one scene as a group, going unit by unit in different pairs so the focus is always on the world we’re building together, not on showing off. The level of connection I’ve seen Guy uncover in these workshops has taken my breath away. I’ve left No Noise workshops feeling confident in myself and with a renewed sense of why I love acting.
Credits include: Scorpius Malfoy 'Harry Potter & The Cursed Child', Two Plus Ones, Cambridge Footlights.
